Farkhanda Malik

Farkhanda Malik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Home Economics and is a certified cosmetologist. She envisions the Women’s Muslim Organization of Greater Hudson as a platform for meaningful change, embracing diversity, uniting people from all backgrounds, and empowering younger generations to help those in need. With a strong belief in humanity and compassion, she strives to create a lasting positive impact on the community and beyond. Her leadership is driven by a deep commitment to service, inspiring others to contribute to a more inclusive and supportive world. Through her vision, MWOGH continues to uplift lives and build stronger, more resilient communities. She is supported by Fauzia.

Sarah Rahman

Sarah Rahman has over a decade of experience in international humanitarian partnerships and nonprofit management. She has worked with the UN, GlobalGiving, and other organizations in partnership, policy, and development roles. With an MPA from NYU and a BA from Stony Brook University, she is excited to bring her expertise to serve the Hudson Valley community.

Mehreen Backer Saleel

With 25+ years in the nutraceutical industry, Mehreen Backer Saleel has led marketing initiatives across the U.S., India, and Europe. Backed with a Doctorate in Business Administration and previous experience in NGO work she brings a global perspective, strategic expertise, and deep cultural awareness to the organization. Mehreen is committed to launching outreach programs that foster cultural cohesion, supported by her team: Zaineb, Humaira, Farkhanda, Raheela, Rimi, Yasmin Ahmed, and Mahwish.

Alia Tanvir

Alia Tanvir holds a BS in Mathematics and Science, a Diploma in Computer Science, and banking certifications. With her finance sector experience and passion for community service, she aims to strengthen MWOGH’s financial initiatives. Alia believes that “Great acts are made of small deeds” and is supported by Financial Advisor Shahida Rizvi along with Shaila, Fanta, and Tuhin.

Munira Siljkovic

Munira Siljkovic is pursuing an M.A.T. in Adolescent Chemistry at SUNY New Paltz and is an NYS-certified chemistry teacher with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Passionate about STEM education, she aims to implement workshops and programs that empower women and youth through knowledge and innovation. is supported by Farah, Israa, Uzma, and Rini.

Erum Shujaat Khan

Dr. Erum Shujaat Khan (MBBS, MD) is a healthcare professional with 11+ years of experience as a Hospitalist at Garnet Medical Center. She earned her MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical School and her MD in the USA. With roots in Qatar, Dr. Erum is passionate about well-being, teaching the Quran, mentoring youth, and strengthening community ties. She is supported by Hameeda, Maria, Fozia, Sadaf, Tehmina, Farhana, Jahanara, Aneeqa, Annie, Nayan, Saraah, Amina, Amira, Fizza, Imtiaz, Farjana and Nowreen.

Nighat Beig

Nighat Beig holds a BA from Women’s University in Lahore and a Religious Diploma from institutions in the USA and Canada. She has extensive experience teaching Islamic education at Taha masjid Long Island and Muslim center NY and Poughkeepsie. As the founder of summer school and Sunday Islamic school programs, she is committed to spreading religious knowledge and fostering spiritual growth within the community. Nighat will be supported by Fareeha, Sabeen, Dilara, Fozia, Ambreen, Rizwana, Shabnam & Naheed.

Anu Kedar

With 30 years of experience as a medical and legal assistant, Anu Kedar brings exceptional organizational skills to MWOGH. She leads the food bank initiative to support community members in need while pursuing her passion for cooking and sharing meals. Anu Kedar is supported by Sabeen, Fareeha, Rima, Joshna, Mona, Nighat, and Fauzia.

Farhana Jaffrey

Dr. Farhana Jafry (MBBS, FCPS, MRCOG, MD) is a physician and clinical scientist with over 15 years of experience in the clinical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. As the Development & Marketing Director, she envisions a platform for positive change, engaging communities and empowering future generations with knowledge and guidance. Experienced in drug development and regulatory compliance, she leads with compassion and creates a lasting impact.

Asra Waliuddin

Dr. Asra Waliuddin, a board-certified Family Medicine physician in California, is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care while empowering patients to make informed health decisions. She has experience in integrated care for underserved populations. Outside work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. She is supported by Sarah, Shabnaz, Nuzat, Fizza, Sabreen.

Parveen Ghani

Dr. Parveen Ghani, an MBBS graduate from Dhaka Medical College with a Master’s in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah, is committed to improving healthcare access for vulnerable women. She focuses on raising awareness and bridging gaps in medical care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, exercising, and helping others.

Dr. Aneeqa Islam, is a Doctor of Pharmacy and Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist from Northeastern University. Her passion is patient education and promoting access to healthcare for underserved populations. She enjoys traveling and baking in her free time.

Yasmin Mazhar Sheik has extensive teaching experience in New York. She has an MS in Education curriculum and teaching and an MS in Special Education from City College of New York University. She is a teacher at an Islamic school. She empowers women through ESL and computer literacy programs.
